For new applicants (career changers, high school graduates, or those from non-nursing backgrounds), we offer Nursing Ausbildung (vocational training) placements in Germany. This allows you to train and qualify as a nurse in Germany while earning a salary.

What is Nursing Ausbildung (Nursing Licensing)?

Nursing Ausbildung is a 3-year vocational nursing training program in Germany. You will learn both in the classroom and in practical settings (hospitals, elderly care facilities, clinics). Upon completion, you will earn a recognized German nursing qualification and be eligible to work as a professional nurse in Germany.

What level of German language proficiency is required?

For Nursing Ausbildung, you generally need to reach B1 level German proficiency.
For direct employment as a nurse (if you are already qualified), you will typically need B2 level.

  • Qualified nurses: The placement and credential recognition process usually takes 6-12 months.

What type of visa will I need?

  • Nursing Ausbildung applicants: You will apply for a student visa (Ausbildung visa).
  • Qualified nurses: You will apply for a work visa or a visa for recognition of foreign qualifications.
